We welcomed forty of the benefactors from The National Arts Centre from Ottawa, Canada in October 2014 for a Whisky Tasting and supper.

A great evening was enjoyed by all!

We can arrange a visit to a local distillery in Kingsbarns which is only 5 miles from St Andrews. The 2 hour tour is led by one of the senior guides and is suitable for smaller groups who have time to enjoy a more leisurely visit and a longer tutored whisky tasting. Start your visit with a complimentary hot drink in the café, before being shown into the exhibition space which explores the history behind the name ‘Kingsbarns’. Your guide will explain how they make the spirit inside the distillery and then take you into a tasting room for an in depth tutored tasting across a selection of Wemyss Malts whiskies. There is also a one hour tour available.

If you would like to go further afield, Tullibardine Distillery is set in the beautiful Perthshire countryside at the gateway to the Highlands (only 10 minutes from Gleneagles). The distillery is a real gem as it continues to operate in the traditional way, without modern day computer technology, giving visitors a real insight to the whisky distillation process. Distillery tours and tastings are always led by one of the enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides and are run frequently throughout the day.

There are many options for tours including a local tour of the university and an evening walking tour. Further afield we can arrange sightseeing tours including Edinburgh Castle, Glamis Castle and many more historic buildings.
